Regional Cooperation

COBSEA promotes regional cooperation among its ten member countries in order to further strengthen coastal and marine environmental management in the East Asian Seas region.

In addition, COBSEA seeks close collaboration with other regional entities when implementing its many activities and works to prevent any duplication of efforts. Some of the activities that are currently being implemented in collaboration with regional partners include the development of the East Asian Seas Knowledgebase; the development of the East Asian Seas Environment Outlook; the implementation of the COBSEA Regional Action Plan on Marine Litter (RAP-MALI) and many others.
