Coastal Clean-Up Day in Thailand

505 volunteers participated in a coastal clean-up campaign in Koh Lanta Thailand the 15 September 2007. The clean-up campaign took place in four beaches: Lang Sod beach, Klong Dao beach, Long beach and Klong Nin. The volunteers included 420 local participants and 85 participants from Bangkok. The cleanup campaign was organized with collaboration with the Phuket Marine Biological Center under COBSEA's Green Fins activity. During the coastal clean-up campaign, more than 3,000 kg of debris was collected in these four beaches.

The cleanup day was made a success thanks to the many sponsors that helped with money, food, drinks, collection bags, gloves, fuel, boats and manpower to make the day a great success and the 205 volunteers from Thailand and other countries.
